Smidge more chalkboard paint...

 Took the leaf out of the dining table and moved it around...

 Yes, my craft trunk is in the eating area, SO WHAT!!!

 The boys updated pics will be in the cubby...

 Moved Ivan's room, though he told me he liked it better "yesterday."

The bookcase from outside Ivan's room is now a bench in the future game area.  I want cheap throw pillows, anyone know of any?  HEE HEE HEE!!!

Because of you, I think I have holiday bi-polarism.

You keep Christmas ornaments NEXT to the Halloween stuff, and mah thinks she needs to work the 2 together for decor.

A house that grows with you...

So I was talking to my LOVELY friend Angelique Osoteo today (I went to school with her hubby Damian), and I was telling her what I was up to.  How I had just painted some railings because white doesn't agree with small children, and I told her about the chalkboard paint in the kitchen.

Then it hit me...

I truly have a house that will grow with us.

The kids play area will one day grow into a beautiful office space.  The game area will actually have games played in it.  And maybe...  JUST MAYBE!!!  One day I will be able to have a table runner and a breakable decorative item on my dining room table.

One day...

But now I have truly touched my kid friendly styling...  And hopefully one day will be untouched by it, hee hee hee!!!

Chalkboard Paint

I need to issue an apology to my friend Nani who seems to be my go to let's complain girl about chalkboard paint.  I have a love/hate relationship with it.  A part of me tells me I need it in my house, and another part tells me DANGER DANGER!!!  LAS VEGAS IS ALREADY DUSTY!!!

So with the painting of the railings, and my unrelenting need or doing and redoing home decor, I decided to paint my kitchen island with the chalkboard paint.  We can't use it for 3 days, so it'll be bleak till then.  Then it'll POP with color!!!

What have I started?

And to think I want to do doors, too?

But I LOVE this!  It looks so sophisticated.  Unfortunately I can only do this after bedtime, so it'll be done tomorrow night MAYBE!!!  But for sure night after next.
