For Abigail...

My friend Hilary really likes my tissue flower piece in the game area, so I made this for her little one, Abigail.  I chose, what I see as, "ballet colors."  I hope you like it, Hilary!!!  I LOVE sharing my artsy craftsiness!!!

Needed: Play area redux

UGH!!!  The mollies vs. weight of the bookcase hung in the play area did not see eye to eye, so mah had a patching job, and now has some paint to redo.  So now it's time to do what I was going to do from the start...  Wheels on the bookcase.  Wish me luck...  Why do I stress so on this simple area?  UGH!!!

DREAM... COME... TRUE!!!

Yesterday when the boys and I went to Home Depot, I noticed they were going to have Behr reps today for a special contest and try Behr products thing.  So when Ivan was in school, Ro and I went, and it was dead.  The only 4 people there were the Behr reps, so I was like WHERE IS EVERYONE I LOVE BEHR PAINT!!!  One guy asked if I used Behr Ultra.  Uh...  IN ALMOST EVERY ROOM!!!  (I did admit to my short Valspar love.)  So here I am, "Studio Taupe, Contessa, Tibetan Orange, Zen, Chamois Tan..."

I told them bout using the testers for fun designed walls, and told them my old house was painted with Behr.  So "Brian" introduced himself to me and asked what my name was and was like "she needs a hat."  So they found me a hat.  I looked down and saw one of those massive every color of Behr paint sample fans like David Bromstad uses, and I'm like "oh, I want one of those."

Brian said no, but another gentleman was like "we'll find another," and HANDED IT TO ME!!!  YES!!!  He even asked me if I decorated other peoples' houses.  IT WAS AWESOME!!!

My friend Sunshine told me they only gave it to me to save them money in the long run because I never leave HD without at least 5 or 6 swatches, HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Just awaiting one thing...

I think I may have an awesome hub cap for over the sink, I think it's a great idea, we shall see!!!

I need to finish the ceiling and come up with some really cool art for a couple of the side walls.  I M DIGGING IT!!!

The Mural

I'm using Starbucks, McMenamins and hometowns as inspiration.  And running out of painters tape is making me think outside the tightwad art I am used to.

New Furniture Snowball

Yes...  I start something, and it'll be done about a week and 3 rooms later.  The new furniture brought about a transition in wall hangings, and the transition of wall hangings is going to make me want to turn the bar area into my own Starbucks decorated space.  I'm talking hand painted mural!!!  YES!!!  I shall keep everyone posted, I want to think out a plan.  But I removed B's man stuff to put by his recliner for his zen area.
